I co-led my first Walk with Ease training yesterday with my buddy/coworker last night, and it was fun/awesome/amazing/rocking. The program is fairly heavily scripted, but we both improvise a lot and had a great location picked out. We started with a warm up walk, stretches, then did several laps around a track that added up to a mile, then did a cool down walk, ending stretches and called it a day. I feel like I really gave back to to the group and am excited to do this 3x a week for the next 6 weeks. What started off as an obligation is starting to feel really, really exciting and the blossoming of a new path for me.

When I got home, I found out that my application to the Girls Gone Sporty Ambassador Program was received, and the applicants are now part of a crew. Whether or not I'm chosen as an official ambassador, I'm super excited to be included in a Crew full of amazing and inspiring women. (see badge on the right :) )
In other news, today is election day, and although I save my political posts for my other blog, I will just say one thing: No matter what your political affiliation/ideology/preferences, please go out and vote. Your voice needs to be heard.
