Happy Friday!

Happy Friday all! For those who celebrate any religious holidays, happy holiday to you. For those who don't, happy end of the week! We made it!


This week has been particularly full of highs and a few lows, but I'm glad to have experienced every moment of it. Today marks the official beginning of a new chapter in my life, where I'm not working/employed and just focused on regaining my health and wellness. I am so thankful to my husband for his unwavering support and hard work to make this work for us. I want to thank my IRL friends as well as my online families for all of their support in making sure that I was ready for today.


After talking about risk all month, I've decided to throw myself back into a serious effort to exercise and eat well. I've definitely fallen off the wagon on both since facing all of the challenges of the last few months, and I am going to recommit myself today to doing things right. For me, that means adopting a mostly paleo lifestyle and working out 4-5 times a week to start. It also means bringing more exercise into my daily activities, like taking longer walks with my dog, doing bodyweight exercises at home, etc.

I am also going to recommit myself to my yoga studies. Not just my yoga practice, but my readings on the path of yoga and the science behind it. It's something I'm passionate about, and I miss it.


Finally, I'm going to recommit myself to cooking healthy and yummy foods. It's a risk because I'm a lousy cook, but I can only get better by practicing.
