So what did I do? I got up and did some yoga.
That's right. I'm tired of staying in bed and whining. I have health challenges that are NEVER going away. I need to do whatever I can to get my body to function in the way I want. So I'm exercising.

Tomorrow I'm starting Day 0 of the Whole30 and am attending the Whole9Life workshop in Monrovia, CA. I'm super excited because my bffae (best friend forever and ever) Cecilia started a little over a week ago and she's doing great on it. I trust pretty much anything she says/does, so I'm all for it. She's never steered me wrong.
So after a few days of needed rest, I'm back in the game. 40 minutes of restorative yoga and 30 minutes of handweight and bodyweight exercises. I'm really focused on my core and arms, as those are my weakest areas.

While I wish I could go back to sleep, I'm ready to tackle this Friday, which will be fabulous for so many reasons: It's 7:30 and I've already gotten a good workout in, we're going to lunch to celebrate a coworker's birthday, I'll be home early enough to spend some quality time with the husband, and tomorrow is the Whole30 workshop.
Can't get more fabulous than that :)

I had such a hard time getting out of bed too this morning. The only thing that worked was bolting up in panic that I had overslept! Exercise would have been the last thing on my mind, so congrats to you for getting in some yoga.
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited for you to start the Whole30! Is this your first time? You're going to love it! I did my first one about 6 months ago and saw crazy results. I've been waiting for a workshop to come to my city. You'll have to let me know how it is. If you have any questions about it or need support, hit me up. They have a great support forum too.
Hi Natalie! Yes, this is my first time and I'm super excited. Thank you so much for the offer, and I''ll definitely take you up on it :)
