So what I learned there:
Sleep.
Nutrition.
Exercise.
Gratitude.
Acceptance.
Love.
Self-care.
Community.
Genuine connections to others.
If you don't have these things, your mind and body will never be well. I am home now with my body in somewhat working order, but way better than it was before, and my mind a lot clearer. I've been sleeping 8+ hours a night and eating balanced meals and reconnecting with friends and family I've isolated myself from. I feel good.

Oh my gosh, I'm glad you're okay and recovering!! It's so true that we need to take care of mind body and spirit for total health - although I'm still learning how to do all of those things at once. :) Take care of yourself!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Tiffany! Yeah, I tried to do too much at one time - go whole30, work too hard, exercise too hard, play too hard, and it all came crashing down. For the record, lupus does not play. If you do too much, it WILL shut you down. And so it did. But it was a good stay and now I'm home and feeling better. Hugs!
