Anyway, it's my first goal check in of the year. I decided that I was going to do monthly goals instead of just big sweeping goals. So here we go:
Highest Weight: 235lbs
Lowest Weight: can't remember
Last Week: 191
This week: 190
Change: -1
I'm pretty excited about this, as this marks the official 45lb mark for me. I've been at this weight for a few days now but didn't want to make a big fuss in case it was a fluke, but I'm trending in the right direction again.

Other goals:
1. Yoga: I went on Sunday and Tuesday, and plan on going on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Friday also if I can fit it in. I had a massage that went badly - while I didn't feel anything during, I ended up with major bruises on my back and some stiff muscles. Yoga worked most of it out, but my goal today as a rest day is to get back into a decent sleep cycle.
2. Walking: I've been good about walking every day with my dog and plan on hitting the road as soon as I finish this blog post :). It's super cold for LA, but it just means we walk faster :)
3. Water: I'm drinking tons of it. I think I might be a bit dehydrated, but it keeps me chugging
4. Weights: I have been actively looking for a good weight routine specifically for my arms (to better support some yoga poses) and have narrowed it down to about 5. From there I'm going to choose by the end of the week what I want to start with and what I want to build up to over time.
5. Meditation: I've been sitting for 10 minutes at a time, and it's definitely challenging quieting my mind, especially as I was getting closer to coming back to work. I am actively re-reading Mindfulness in Plain English, as I think mindfulness meditation is the track I want to take at this point in my life.
6. Start the Whole 30: I've signed up for the workshop on 1/12 in Monrovia, and 1/12 will be Day 0 of the plan for me. I'm reading It Starts With Food, so I'll be somewhat prepared for the workshop. I'm not gorging on bad foods between now and then, but rather slowly making progress so starting won't be a shock to my system.
7. Seeing my spiritual guru: Marianne only speaks on Wednesdays, but I've been listening to recordings of her talks this week.
8. Throwing myself into the challenges I've signed up for. Only one has started so far, the #YogaADay Instagram challenge, and I'm 3 days behind on that. I really need to figure out a better way to take full body selfies or get Omar or someone at work to help me out.
9. Throw myself into work with a passion. Well, we'll see how it goes this week. But I'm in the right mindset.
I'm feeling progress on all fronts and it's only week one of the year. Go me!
